Elizabeth Adams died after a long and courageous battle with bone cancer on August 27th, 2015.

Carol Ann Pelton

Carol Ann Pelton, 59, of Alpharetta, died March 4, 2007. Born in Toledo, OH to Olin and Mary Sexton Pelton on October 24, 1947. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Counts of Leander, TX and Lorrie Schmitt of Miami, FL; mother, Mary Pelton of Woodstock; sister, Linda Pelton of Marietta; grandchildren, Taylor, Justin and Chad Counts. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 7, at 10 a.m. At St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. With a prayer services at 7:30 p.m. At the funeral home. Interment will be in Toledo, Ohio.

Henry Lawrence "H.L." Fisher, of Ocala, FL passed away on December 25, 2007. Henry was born January 7, 1948. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Fisher; son, Daniel Fisher; son, Bryan Fisher; daughter, Denise Valletutti; daughter, Tiffany Fisher; 6 grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Wolf; sister, Mary Frances Whidden; brother, Benny Fisher. H.L. Is predeceased by a daughter, Angela Fisher on July 21, 2006. Joint memorial graveside service for H.L. And Angela to be conducted at Pompano Beach Cemetery on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 12:00 Noon with interment to follow. Rev. Bill Derryberry officiating.

Robert A. Cook, 63, of Pensacola passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009.
He was born in Yangzhou, China in a Japanese internment camp. Robert served 20 years in the US Air Force, retiring as a Tsgt.
He was a mustang enthusiast and member of the Gulf Coast Regional Mustang club. He was currently employed as a Journeyman at Comfort Systems USA.
Robert is survived by his wife, Betty of Pensacola; a son, Larry of Pensacola; daughter, Debbie of Pensacola; granddaughter, Haley Cook of Pensacola; brother, Rodley Kelley of Milton; brother-in-law, Bill Box of Miami; sisters-in-law, Solange Kelley of Milton, Donna Box of Miami and Dee Box of Pensacola.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30pm, Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel followed by graveside services at 2:00pm at Barrancas National Cemetery with Rev. Ken Griffin officiating. Full military honors will follow.
The family would like to give a special Thank You to the wonderful staff in St. Catherine's at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Gordon Robert Banks

Died September 2009 of Prostate cancer.  Survived by his two children, Gordon Jr. and Melinda. RIP Gordon.

Ronald Wesley Bell

Ron graduated from Pompano Beach High, Palm Beach Junior College, Florida Atlantic University and the New York Institute of Finance. A celebration of a life well lived will be on June 20, at Ron and Kathy's farm, Miraflores, in Costa Rica where Ron's ashes will rest. A memorial in Vero Beach will be held at a later date. It was Ron's wish that any remembrances be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1506, Vero Beach, FL 32961.

Ronald A. Carpenter

Ronald A. Carpenter, 62, of Gainesville died April 29, 2010, at home after an illness of several months.

Carpenter was born on May 5, 1947 to Vivian and Charles Carpenter in Toledo, Ohio, and grew up in Deerfield Beach, Florida. In 1965, he entered the University of Florida, attaining an undergraduate and a law degree in 1970. He never left Gainesville, where he practiced real estate law for almost forty years.

From 1985-1990, Carpenter served on the Florida Board of Bar Examiners, including serving as Chairman. For six weeks in 1987 he volunteered in Congressman Buddy MacKay's Washington, DC office. From 1991-97, he served as a Trustee of Santa Fe College, and chaired that board from 1994-97. He was the longest serving director on the board of M&S Bank, from November 1984 until his death. He was counsel to the Builders Association of North Central Florida for thirteen years ending in 2009. From 1997-2001, he was on the Board of Trustees of the Levin College of Law Center Association, Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna, his daughter Cathy Carpenter and her husband David Kroes of Tarzanna, California; his daughter Cris Plumlee and her husband Todd of Indian Rocks Beach, Florida; his son John Taylor and his wife Jessica of Clarksburg, Maryland; his daughter Lisa Taylor and her husband Louis Vazquez of Gainesville; his grandchildren Sydney and Ethan Kroes; Tyson Plumlee; and Quinn and Beckett Taylor; his brother Ed of Greenwich, Connecticut; and his brother John of Dallas, Texas.

Ian Douglas Murphy

My brother, Ian Douglas Murphy Jr, a graduate of Pompano Beach High in 1965, passed away in South Bend, Indiana on April 23, just a few days after his 67th birthday.

 He is survived by his 3 children, Vic and Kelly of South Bend, IN and Erin of Staunton, VA, and 5 grandsons, Monty, Kaiden, Killian, Liam and Finley.

 He is also survived by his 2 brothers, Bill Murphy of Pompano Beach High and Mark Murphy of Deerfield Beach High, and 2 sisters, Margie Murphy Pomerleau of Pompano Beach High and me, Amy Murphy Delia Sohl of Broward Community College, all of us are formerly of Broward County for many years.

 His children are having a memorial for him in South Bend on Sat. May 24 at Bubb Funeral Chapel 3910 N. Main Street. Fellowship from 12-2:00 pm followed by a memorial service.

Jimmy Wiggins

Jimmy was a Vietnam Vet and died of cancer on 5/21/14 while awaiting clearance for treatment at the VA Hospital in Miami as many other vets who were lost in the shuffle by the VA at that time.  Jimmy was a member of the class of '65 but dropped out of school years earlier and didn't graduate with his class.  He got his GED while in the Army in 1965.  Jim was an accomplished glass artist and had several write ups about him in the newspaper.   Both his art work  and sculptures was seen all over commercial buildings and in private homes throughout south Florida.  (Information provided by his girlfriend Elaine Smith)

Ben died after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Robert Hoffstetter

On December 28, 2014, Robert "Bob" Hoffstetter died while officiating at a motorcycle racing event in Palm Beach doing what he apparently loved to do. It was a terrible flash accident Bob didn't see coming. 

RIP Bob. I really wish you'd joined us at one of our reunions. We missed you before but will miss you now even more than you will know. 

Bob was single, was predeceased by both parents, and had no siblings and no children. He lived in Tamarac and worked at Radio Shack.

David Ash

 David died on May 14th, 2015. His health had been deteriorating since last fall. In January he learned he had an inoperable and malignant tumor on his liver.
